This specially created large collaborative work covered the walls of Christies vast Ante Room, installed for this leading auction house’s Christmas Party, where leading lights of the art world experienced a truly contemporary ‘fresque collaborative’ as later featured in Hugo+Desinge’s Planète Street Art: ‘Christie’s a reconnu l’importance du Street Art international en demandant au collectif Mas Civiles de réaliser un collage de toutes le œuvres Street Art présente dans le salles de vente.’
Latin American arts group Mas Civiles, led by Manuel Sanmartin collaborated with Fitzrovia Noir’s Graham Carrick to work through the night, in a tight window when the Christies’ walls were unusually bare, assembling mixed media from seven artists onto a massive canvas. This stunning portable fresco travelled to France, as Hugo+Desinge further showcase the work as: ‘L’œuvre fut exposée dans la cave d’un château croulant, en Ardèche, pour refléter les peintures murales de siècle passés présentes dans le même region du sud de la France.’
